Dear Parents,

We have so much to be thankful for, particularly God’s blessings given to our school. To celebrate, we are joyfully preparing our Thanksgiving Feast on Monday, November 20th for grades first through fifth.

This is one of our favorite Hancock traditions. The students will be making their costumes in art class this year. Therefore, please have your child dress in their school uniform. As much as we would like to invite parents, space limitations will not allow us to do so.

We wish all of our Hancock families a joyous Thanksgiving.

Fondly,

Emmy Wilcox
Chair, Thanksgiving Feast Committee

Changes in Extended Care Pick Up
Grades 3-5 can be picked up from the Front Playground location after 4:15 pm. If there is inclement weather, pick up will be in Hancock Hall.
Grades 6-8 will work on Homework in room 309 each day from 3:15-4:00 pm. Students will then go to Hancock Hall for a snack before going to the front playground.
Library News
Veteran’s Day is November 11.  In the library, we are going to read books about veterans and this holiday in PreK – 5th grade.  During our lessons, I would love to share pictures of a veteran(s) in your family.   If you would like to participate, please take a picture of a veteran’s photograph and email it to Susan Hill. Please include the photograph, the veteran’s name, the branch of service and/or time of service, and your child’s name.  I know your children will really like this activity.  My email address is shill@hancockdayschool.org  Thanks in advance for making this a special lesson.
