Admission Steps

Step 1: Get to know us!

Step 2: Submit your application

Please complete the HDS Online Application with the $175, non-refundable application fee. Pre-K students must turn 4 years old on or before September 1st, and Kindergarten students must turn 5 years old on or before September 1st.

For Grades 2-8, please send the Release Form to your child's current school for the following:

  • Report Cards – last 2 school years
  • Standardized Test Results, rising 4-8 – scores should reflect grade level proficiency
  • Diagnostic or Psychological Evaluation Results, if applicable

Step 3: Complete testing

Testing times will be scheduled once applications are reviewed.

Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and First Grade

  • Age-appropriate Readiness Assessment

Grades 2-8

  • ISEE Admissions Testing
  • Optional--Participate in a Shadow Day for students applying to grades 4 through 8

Step 4: Decision Day!

The Admissions Committee will review the candidate's standardized test results, transcripts, discipline record, etc. needed to make the best decision for all parties involved.

If your child receives an acceptance notification, parents will be provided the information necessary to complete the enrollment process. Enrollment contracts will be due in March with a $1,000 deposit.

Rolling Admissions for remaining spots take place April-August.
